iQOO has confirmed that its Neo12 will launch in China on October 28, with pre-orders already open in the country. The company revealed the date alongside the phone's design and color options, according to GSMArena.
The Neo12 is shaping up to be a performance-first Android phone. iQOO has already said it will run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and use a 2K AMOLED display with a 185Hz refresh rate.
iQOO Neo12 design and color options
The Neo12 will come in three colors: Fierce Edge, Shadow Black, and Frost Blade Blue. The Fierce Edge version stands out with a dynamic texture on the back panel, while all variants get a polished metal frame.
Around the back sits a square camera module. Unusually for a phone, it houses an active cooling fan in the bottom-right corner, a detail iQOO has confirmed. That works together with the company's Ice-Dome cooling system.
iQOO Neo12 specs confirmed so far
iQOO has been unusually open about the Neo12's core hardware ahead of launch. Beyond the chipset and display, the phone will also carry iQOO's own Q3 gaming chip, aimed at stabilizing frame rates in games.
The headline number, though, is the battery. iQOO says the Neo12 will pack a 9,000mAh cell, a capacity well above what most flagships offer today. Notebookcheck also reports the October 28 launch date and the 9,000mAh battery, matching iQOO's own teasers.
