Samsung's Android 17 rollout is picking up speed in the United States. After a delay, the company began pushing One UI 9 more widely at the end of September, starting with the Galaxy S26 series. According to 9to5Google, the update is now reaching more last-gen Galaxy devices in the US market.
The expansion covers the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, along with the Galaxy S25 lineup. The rollout is not universal yet: reports point to specific carriers and locked variants getting the update first, so timing will vary from phone to phone.

The picture is still forming, and the sources describe a piecemeal rollout rather than a single nationwide switch. 9to5Google cites SamMobile for the foldables and SammyGuru for the S25 family.
Owners of unlocked units are likely to wait a few more days, since carrier-locked models appear to be first in line. Samsung has not published a single confirmed schedule for every model and carrier.
