Microsoft has revealed what Xbox Cloud Gaming will cost for players who do not want a Game Pass subscription. Bundles start at $3.99 for 10 hours of streaming, according to details shared with Xbox Insiders today and reported by The Verge. The wider rollout to everyone else is set for November.
Xbox Insiders without Game Pass can buy cloud playtime right now at introductory launch prices. Microsoft says the hours include ad-free streaming, shorter wait times and higher-quality video, and the packs do not expire monthly, they stay in your account until you use them.
Xbox Cloud Gaming pay-as-you-go prices
The pay-as-you-go model was first announced last month as a way to open Xbox Cloud Gaming beyond the Game Pass paywall. Instead of a monthly subscription, players buy blocks of streaming time. Engadget notes these are being called introductory launch prices, so the final costs could still change when the full rollout happens in November.
Microsoft is also testing a free, ad-supported tier for Insiders. Those sessions are limited to games you already own and are capped at one hour each, a cheaper entry point for players who just want to try cloud streaming.
