OPPO's rumored camera flagship, the Find X10 Ultra, may never reach shelves. According to leaker Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the project is on hold, and reports say the phone could be cancelled outright. OPPO has not confirmed or denied anything officially.
The timing follows the Find X10 and Find X10 Pro Max, which went global recently. The Ultra was expected in the first half of next year as OPPO's most powerful, camera-focused model. If the leak holds, the Find X10 Pro Max stays OPPO's top flagship for now.
Why OPPO may have paused the Find X10 Ultra
No reason was given by the leaker. Reports point to soaring prices for processors and memory chips, which would have pushed a camera-heavy flagship to extreme price levels. A shift in consumer preferences toward wider screens is also mentioned as a possible factor.
This would not be the first Ultra to disappear from this generation's calendar. Xiaomi's 18 Ultra has already been reported cancelled, a move that fits the same pattern of rising component costs squeezing premium models.
OPPO Find X10 Ultra rumored specs
