Nothing has started rolling out Nothing OS 5.0 to four of its more affordable phones. The Android 17-based update is now reaching the Nothing Phone (3a), Nothing Phone (3a) Pro, Nothing Phone (4a) and Nothing Phone (4a) Pro globally, according to 9to5Google.
The stable build arrives a few weeks after the same software landed on the flagship Nothing Phone (3). As with most firmware releases, the rollout happens in batches, so some owners will wait a few days before the notification appears.
Nothing OS 5.0 features and changelog
The headline change is the new Glyph app, which takes the Glyph Interface features out of system settings and puts them in their own app with a tweaked user interface. Nothing is also adding a Split mode to Quick Settings, bulk icon management for the home screen, and three new widgets: Collector, Away Time and Glyph Timer.
On the visual side, Nothing OS 5.0 introduces a Translucent theme that can be applied system-wide, along with new lock screen customization options. The camera interface has been refreshed once again and gains a Dual-view Video mode that records with the front and rear cameras simultaneously.
Nothing is also adding a yellow AI Processing status indicator that alerts users when the phone is processing potentially sensitive AI data. The full changelog is available for the Phone (3a) series and the Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro.
