Meta has quietly released Style Sketch, an AI fashion app that builds outfit ideas from the clothes you already own. The app links to Instagram to create a virtual closet out of photos you have already posted, or you can add items yourself by photographing them, filming a short video or picking images from your camera roll. The launch was first spotted by social media consultant Matt Navarra, according to TechCrunch.
The app is available on iOS and Android in Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand only, and Meta has not said whether it will expand further. The company did not respond to TechCrunch's request for comment, so almost everything beyond the app's own description remains unconfirmed. Even so, the move shows Meta pushing deeper into consumer AI tools tied to its social platforms rather than plain chatbots.
Style Sketch features and how it works
According to the app description, Style Sketch goes beyond simple suggestions. You can pick a specific item from your wardrobe and ask for new outfit ideas built around it, which avoids the random recommendations many styling apps fall back on. Users can also see outfits worn by a "realistic model matched to your body shape and skin tone," as the listing puts it.
The app also handles trip planning: enter your destination, trip length and planned activities, and it returns a day-by-day outfit plan that factors in the weather forecast and your itinerary. Meta has described these features in the store listing, but has not demonstrated them publicly or explained how the body-matching model works.
