Google has quietly started selling Samsung Galaxy phones alongside its own Pixel devices through a new "Shop devices" tab in the Play Store, according to reports from 9to5Google and GSMArena. The move marks the first time Google's storefront has directly offered hardware from another major manufacturer.
The rollout is not global. GSMArena reports that while Pixel phones appear in the tab in several regions, Galaxy devices are only showing up in some markets. Buyers who see the option can order a Galaxy S26 series phone or Galaxy Watch8 through the Google Store checkout, using the same Google One cashback and store credit as Pixel purchases.
What Google is selling in the Play Store
According to 9to5Google, the "Shop devices" tab lists a mix of Google and Samsung hardware. Checkout happens through the Google Store, and buyers get the same 10% Google One cashback benefit they would get on a Pixel.
Notably, Google has not raised the price of Samsung's Galaxy S26 series through this portal, 9to5Google reports. That means the phones are listed at their regular price tags, with no extra markup for buying through Play instead of a Samsung channel.
Google had already been selling Samsung devices through the Play Store's Play Points program, but only via selective offers or redemptions. The new tab makes those purchases a permanent, browsable option rather than a one-off promotion.
GSMArena notes that other regions are not seeing the Galaxies yet, though the Pixels are there. The publication also questions whether Samsung is Google's first hardware partner or its only one, and whether other manufacturers will join later.
